Card Night

I attended another training meeting with a fabulous demonstrator, Amy Johnson a few weeks ago. Here are a few of the swaps that I got there.

The theme with the swaps was punches. LeAnn Naylor took every advantage to use all her punches in this very cute chic card. Way cute!

This card was designed by a very creative lady, Kasia Jackson! I love this! What a cute flower this is! The clear button adds just the right touch to the card. Also notice the embossed background using our new Texturz Plates with the Big Shot machine. Ask me to demonstrate this product at your next workshop!

This swap I loved too. I am not sure who to credit to, but whoever it was, thanks for the great swap! I love the color scheme and then of course the use of another new product that came out in March, the Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die! This new die is so dang fun to use! Why not have me demo it at your next workshop! You will fall in love too!

And can you saw "so dang cute." Mindy Bywater created this card. Look at the detail and all the punches she used with card. She won the swap contest and you can see why! Just a fun card that every child would be thrilled to receive. To bad I am keeping it to myself! :-)

I love this! The card was extra long but don't we all have this many purses in our closet? So dang cute! Not sure of the demo that supplied this, but thanks! Such a cute idea!

How cute is this for a baby card? I am thinking the that main cardstock of the card is from one of our scallop Big Shot dies! The other few pieces are of course using our punches.

Deborah made this cute card using a new stamp set from our next catalog! We got this stamp set in Hawaii! Can't wait for the new catty now! Thanks Deborah for this wonderful card!

This card was made by a dear friend, Ashley VanCamp! This lady is so creative and comes up with the cutest things! Love this layout and the use of the scallop circle for the flower! So cute!

This card was actually one of our make & takes at the meeting. Wendy Knowles created it for us and it is using the Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die. So fun to use. We then daubed on some ink to make the impression really pop!

Alright, the pics below are some of my favorite samples that I have gathered through other stampin' events such as business trainings, shoebox swaps, and swaps through the mail. I thought I would just share them with all of you!

Here is a "swap in the mail" sample that I got. I love this layout. The stamp set is Wagon Full of Fun from the Occasions Mini catalog. Such a great stamp set with a variety of different images you can use throughout the year. I believe this was from my upline Brandi but if I remember right, she mentioned her husband made it! How awesome is that? See, we can get our husbands to enjoy our hobby too! Thanks John!

Another great swap I received. I just love the circles on this card!

This card was made by Heather Stevens! I just love how simple the layout is. I absolutely love the ribbon as well as the new Grommet hardware that has been added! So cute Heather! Thanks for the swap!

Another cute swap I received in the mail! Not sure who made it but I love the color scheme and the new satin ribbon from the Occasions Mini catalog!

This card was made by my fabulous upline Brandi. She swapped it at a Business Builders event that I attended in March. Great use of some of our new ribbons!

Another card I made at a shoebox swap in March. I also featured this card at my club in February or March...can't remember. It is a fun technique called poppin' pastels where you use the our chalk to color the images but with these images, we first stamped in white craft ink which made the image a more retro look. Loved it! I had not tried it with the white craft ink before. Usually I use this technique with our versamark clear ink. Thanks Mandy for the cute idea!

Another card idea from a shoebox swap event. I loved how this demonstrator (and I don't know what her name is) showed off a pretties flower but then used one of our stampin' wheels and stamped a designed on the flower! So clever and cute! Also featured is the organza ribbon.

Another fun swap at a shoebox swap in March. I just love this layout and cute images.

This card was designed by Meagan Dunn also at this same shoebox swap in March. This is a hostess set that is in our current Spring-Summer 2009 catalog. Just a fun card!

Okay, this card was a swap from a fellow demonstrator, Jan Johnson. I just loved the layout and this stamp set, Crazy for Cupcakes. She also used our watercolor paper which makes it so easy to watercolor our images.

This was a card idea that I made from a shoebox swap that I attended in March. A shoebox swap is a stampin' event where a whole bunch of demonstrators get together and have supplies ready for you to make a card they designed. So I did not design this card but I sure had fun making it!

This was a swap that I made for a "swap in the mail" event. I love these type of events. I make 20 of the same card to whoever is hosting (In this case my wonderful upline Brandi) and then there are 20 other demos that participate. I then get 20 different cards back.

This was another "swap in the mail" idea that I did. This is the front view...

...and this is how you open the card. This white piece is connected at the bottom with a brad. Fun idea that I got from a training a while back.

This stamp set is called Thoughts & Prayers. The more I see samples using this set, the more I fall in love with it. I just love this tree. You can also see this tree as an image in our Decor' Elements line. Check out our brochure located on the right side here. Just beautiful! And I love the added dimension from the pink beads. So cute!

Another great swap in the mail using the pretties and the new stamp set from the Occasions Mini catalog, Oval all. This card also features the new Scallop Oval Punch also in the Occasions Mini.

These 2 pics above are of the cute little Matchbox Die in the Occasions Mini catalog. Way cute gift ideas using these cute little boxes.

This idea is featuring the new Designer Hardware in the Occasions Mini catalog as well. They are called grommets. So fun!

This I believe is a swap from another demonstrator. Hey, now that I am thinking, this may be a project from a great fellow demonstrator in my group Wendy. I just loved the butterfly idea. This features the butterfly Sizzix Die and dressing it up with some of our Pretties Kit accessories. Oh so beautiful. These items are in the Spring-Summer 2009 catalog. Click on the link on the right side of this blog. Also, the stamp set is Great Friend in the Occasions Mini.

This is one of the many projects we were able to do while in Hawaii. At every event that Stampin' Up! puts on, there is always fabulous "make & take" projects.

Hawaii Incentive Trip - Thank you Stampin' Up!

Still trying to catch up. I am always one or two months behind. I wanted to just add a few Hawaii pics here. The last week in March, my husband and I went to Hawaii all expenses paid (well except for the fun tours we did). Each year, Stampin' Up! offers an incentive trip to earn to all their demonstrators. Well, last year, I worked hard and will all of your help, (I am talking all of my loyal customers), I was able to earn the trip! We stayed in Kona, Hawaii for 5 days at this amazing Hilton resort. Stampin' Up! treated us very well and I can't wait to earn another incentive trip. Anyway, here are just a few pics (out of like 400 I swear).

Posing as we are just about to go do some kayaking! This was my favorite adventure we took. We had our own personal tour guide as we kayaked and watched spinner dolphins jump right in front of us. Leadership in Florida - January 2009

Alright, I am playing catch up on this Stampin' Blog. Life is just way too crazy but I wanted to make sure and add some pics of my Florida trip. Stampin' Up! puts this on annual. They call it Leadership and you have to be a manager or above to attend. We had such a good time! I went with a few fellow demonstrators which made it extra fun! The event I believe is 3 days and then we stayed even longer to attend a Regional Seminar which was held the day after Leadership was over. There is a ton of training and stamping involved and it is a great opportunity to be with friends!

This is at our Make & Take session! We made some fun projects which is always the best part of these events!

Here are a few of us posing with flowers in our hair. This was more of a "Hawaii, here we come pose!" The gals with me in this pic have all earned the all expense paid incentive trip to Hawaii! Thank you Stampin' Up!

This pic and the ones below are just some of the decor around this Island of Adventure. Stampin' Up! and this part of Universal's closed down just for us. There were 4 rides open with no lines. You should have seen our little group running around the park as fast as we could to get on the rides over, and over again. It was perfect!

I thought this was cool. These flags were all around the Islands of Adventure park of the park! All with the logo of Stampin' Up! Love being a part of this company!

Okay, so now that the new catalog is now officially open to purchase from, here are a few pics of some of the new products. These pics are of some of the displays at the Leadership Conference I just attended the beginning of January!

These are some of the new ribbons. The white is the new Organza ribbon. The Pumpkin Pie color ribbon is from the new Ribbon Originals, Pig Tails. What a cute name huh?

This pic is displaying the new punches, we have 3: Eyelet Border, Heart to Heart (hard to see but a punch with 3 hearts), and the Full Heart punch. Also in this pic are the new Chocolate Chip brads (Yum) as well as the Very Vanilla and Whisper White and Silver brads. They are bigger then our "normal" silver and gold brads. Can't wait to get my hands on these!

Displayed here are the new Flower assortment Designer Brads (top the pic) as well as the Flearettes (crocheted flowers). The bottom of this pic shows the new Designer Hardware, Hooray, and Corduroy Buttons and then some of the new ribbons as well!

This was a cute bag decorated with our new paper, Urban Oasis.

I love this scrapbook page! Love the tree! The leaves are dolled up with our new colors of glitter. I believe this color is in the combo pack Fine Superova (old olive).

I just love the look of this new stamp set, Trendy Trees. It just looks so versatile. I can't wait to use it.

Christmas Card Crunch!

I thought I better add some close up shots of the cards too because I think they came out pretty cute. I try to do simple but there are a few extra steps to these cards not making them super simple. I just get going and add a few things here and there. But they should be pretty easy to make. Twenty cards in 3 hours...you can do it!! Here are the close ups:

Oh shoot, this pic got taken before I added a gold brad in the middle of that flower. You can kind of see the brad on the group folder. When you make this card, you will add a gold brad!

A Different Workshop Option!

Rather then having a "traditional" workshop, I now have a different option for you. I have done this twice now and it has been a great option for those repeat hostesses or for those that just want something different. As a hostess, you invite your friends and family to attend a card class. The class costs $10 for 10 cards (including evelopes). There are 5 different designs which means 2 cards of each design. For every person you have attend, I will add $10 towards your sales for your workshop. So for you to reach $150 (which is what you would need to reach to begin earning FREE merchandise) you would need 15 people to attend. Then of course at the class, your guests could also place orders as I would have catalogs out for them to look at. At at the end of the evening, we will total your sales from orders and the amount of people that you have attend, and you will receive wonderful hostess benefits including FREE merchandise and a FREE hostess stamp set. Now I did this last month and to celebrate Stampin' Up!'s birthday, we focuses on birthday cards. Here are the samples:

Now for this month, I have another class like this and we are doing Christmas cards instead. Some cards similar to my Christmas Card Crunch class here in my home. Card Ideas from a Training in October!

Alright, I know that I am just not very good about updating my blog, but here ya go. These next images are some of the make and take cards that we made at my fabulous upline's (Brandi) meeting in October. The night before the meeting we were able to sit down and make 24 cards. Here are a few. I was in charge of creating 4 of the cards. I won't post my cards since Halloween has past (2 were halloween cards). The other 2 are valentine cards but I am going to wait on posting them. I think I will be having a class with those cards so when the class gets closer, I will post. As for now, I will upload some of the other cards that we made. They were sure cute and a ton of fun to stamp. Thanks to the ladies who created that night! You are awesome! These are great for ideas ladies. That is why I am posting them!

September Card Club Projects

This project I showed off the new Big Shot! Yeah, this machine is sooo much fun! The first layer I cut off the preforated part of the label notch so that that I could make a layer. I colored the flower using daubers.

Ingredients:

Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze, Choc Chip, Old Olive Marker

Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, Choc Chip, Whisper White

This little guy, isn't he cute? I can not take credit for it. I saw this one somewhere else and just absolutely loved it. I again used the Big Shot for his head. This is the scalloped envelope die. We also used a lot of different punches for this card. The punches made this projects so quick and easy!

Group Meeting/Shoebox Swap

I had a group meeting/shoebox swap last weekend. We all designed a card and then brought all the supplies to have the rest of the group to make the card. What a fun night! September Scrapbook Pages

Alright, it is still September and I am uploading my scrapbook pages for this month's club! Are you impressed? This was a fun page. I did not create the technique and I copied the page from another stamper, but I just loved it when I say it. I created the clouds using a punched scallop circle as the mask and then sponged around it. I sponged the top and then moved the mask up a little and sponged around the bottom of the scallop circle. This made a oval shaped cloud rather then a circled one. I tried to take a closer up pic of the page but I don't think it turned out so good. Something with that white card stock. I wanted you to be able to take a closer look at the clouds. Oh and I thought I better mention, my dear Ella wanted to help mommy with the stamping. You will notice on the 2nd page that there are a few more butterflies lightly stamped in the lower right hand corner. The page took some time to stamp and I wasn't sure I wanted to restamp it with those clouds. Not right now anyway. Just FYI! Here are the ingredients:

This was such a fun project. This is called Iris Twist. We took a lot (I don't remember the amount) of 1" X 3" pieces of folded pattern paper. Then using a pattern for a template, we (as in club members) adhered the pieces to our frame. It took some time but what an awesome finished project. I actually need to take another pic just to see the dimension this card does have. Too late tonight but maybe I will take another pic and upload it tomorrow. I think this was a hit at club!

This was a fun little idea for the 4th of July (I know...I am bad at posting). This is a little pouch made using a 6X6 piece of patterned paper. With some folding, the pouch comes out like this with a little pocket just big enough to hold a treat!

Here is the treat inside of the pouch! Fun, Fun!

Sorry the pic is a little croaked, but this wedding card was also made at club oh I think in July as well. I love this set! It has not retired so you are still able to buy it. It is just not featured in this catalog but rather on the "dormant" list. But a way fun set. I colored it using the water color crayons and aquapainter. We then added some glitter for a little big of shimmer! Got to have shimmer! Oh and I featured the ribbon sliders that are included in the Hodge Podge Hardware kits! Way fun to use!

This is a scrapbook page we made at convention. I know, convention was in July and I am just now uploading it! So sorry but better late then never right? On this page we used the "Flight of the Butterfly stamp set. Also featured on this page is the new Flower Fusion Too accessories as well as the Button Bouquets. Also added to the page is our new chipboard On Board Timeless Type. Oh this new catalog is filled with lots of new and fun accessories!

This fun project we did at Brandi's (my wonderful upline) Shoebox swap that was held at during on of the nights at convention. I then went home and did it as one of my club projects. Such a fun technique. It is called Polished Stone. The wave like feature is made using rubbing alcohol and reinkers. Take a cotton ball and add the rubbing alcohol along with a few different colors of reinkers and then daub it on our glossy cardstock. If you want a marble effect, add some silver or gold encore inkers and you get an awesome look.

This is another project made at Brandi's shoebox swap and then I did it at my stamp club meeting. This is a "Pop Up Card" or is it called a "Stand Up Card?" Either way, it is a fun interactive card that a person of any age would enjoy! Hey, if you are seeing these projects that we are making at our stamp club and you are intersted in joining, contact me! This is a gift card again that was made at my card club oh I think in July. Here is the outer appearence. There is a belly band that holds it together.

Awards Night at Convention!

Many of you know that I have been trying real hard this last year to earn the Stampin' Up! incentive trip to Hawaii and that is just what I did! In June, I was finally told that I officially earned the all expense paid trip for 2 to Hawaii! Yeah! Mike and I are off to Hawaii in March of 2009 and these ladies in this pic are my sidelines that awill be there with us! I can't wait ladies! We are going to have some fun!

Convnetion Pics!

Here are various pictures of some of my group that went to convention. The first pic is of my wonderful friends who all helped me get my swaps done! I was not done with them when I packed to leave to SLC so I just brought all the supplies to finish them in the hotel. Well my friends were wonderful enough to each do one step in my swap and we got them done fast! Thanks ladies! We had soooo much fun during the 4 days we stayed there in SLC! We all sat together during general session and then split up for classes. We went out to dinner almost every night and were able to get to know each other quite well. Other pics include Laurie and Tana winning FREE PRODUCT! So jealous!

Alright, here it goes! Everyone seems to have a blog and so well, I guess I should too. I must admit, I have wanted to start one just dedicated to stamping, but was a little nervous about it. I can hardly keep up with my own family one. This will be fun though. I will try to add different projects as I make them for my stamp clubs or personal stamping.
